#7 Königskolonaden, Skulpturverein Berlin

Opening: 17.9. at 11 pm.

IN-BETWEEN I echoes, issues and attitudes

22.04. – 30.04. 2023

Opening: Saturday 22.4.2023 at 5pm.

CRAMA shows a selection of new works by Berlin-based sculptor Dennis Feddersen. The exhibition illuminates the relationship between man and identity from different angles and raises questions around the theme “THE ME IS MANY”. The ceramic works focus on the representation of physical and metaphorical aspects in order to make possible processes of human identity formation visible. How does identity form and change? How and who are we when we meet? What mechanisms and questions determine our becoming and being? How do we act as individuals and how do we act collectively? What forms result from this?

BRUCHLINIEN

8. Nov – 27. Nov 2021

The term is widely used in both geology and sociology. A fault line makes tensions visi- ble, tensions in the earth such as the shifting of plates, and in sociology by the splitting of societies due to political or religious disagreements. This process is also present in the material ceramics due to temperature fluctuations, drying processes and different material thicknesses.
The new exhibition “Bruchlinie” shows artists with ceramic sculptures and installations. Although they all work with the same material, the approaches are completely different and the fault line shows itself as a distriburor (or messenger)
It is the revealing of a tension (of which a fault line is the result) that the artists in this exhibition show in a number of different manners.
