MISFIT
drywall, aluminium, wallpaint 150 x 140 x 240 cm, 2010
Once more, much as in his sculpture misfit, the artist attempts a “destabilization of the perceived spatial structure” that is as calculated as it is open. Therefore he copied an existing architectural element (cut and paste), a corner of the galleries drywall and had it rebuilt in the same manner. Feddersen placed it right into the entrance area, so that visitors didn´t realize that they were walking by a sculpture as it looked like a misplaced drywall element (MIMICRY).
